| South Peak Branch Casualties Union |
Casualties Union is a charitable organisation which provides trained volunteers to simulate injuries and medical conditions, to improve the realism of training in first-aid, nursing and emergency and rescue services.
It was founded in 1942 by Eric Claxton OBE at the Surrey County Civil Defence Rescue School.
The members simulate realistic and professional looking make-up and acting to give assistance to organisations such as first-aid at work companies, voluntary first-aid organisations, the ambulance service, fire-service, the police, mountain rescue, airports and others.
South Peak Branch is a newly founded branch based in Leek with longstanding members from Leek, Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.
